Signs from God
Some people pray asking God for something together with a sign to know what His answers would be. If by all means one sees a white dove in an area when there’s supposed to be none, then it a yes. A “no” if the day ends and no dove sighting occurred. Let’s say, give it a week. Enough time for God to really think and decide to grant on your request. Much older later, we still ask God for something but this time we compromise. We go into fasting so God may see that we are willing to make small sacrifices (Him being sacrificed on the cross) and give pity and grant our wish. But God is all-knowing and He can’t be manipulated into giving you something. In God’s time one may or may not get what he so desires. God doesn’t need some sort of a nannycam system to know if what you have been doing deserves a grant.
